Due to Covid-19 we are asking all clients that have a fever, cough or any Covid symptoms to reschedule the recording session to a later date. There will be no fees or charges for last minute cancellations.

Kabby has completed the Health Education Services Covid-19 Compliance Officer Training.

SAG•AFTRA.ORG safety tips.

We have made provisions to adhere to each of the following recommendations:

  • ProTools operator to get regularly Covid-19 tested.
  • ProTools operator is 4x vaccinated against Covid-19.
  • Talent is encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
  • ProTools Operator will wear a mask and gloves during the recording session.
  • Studio will schedule clients with a 4 hour break between sessions for sanitization and cleaning.
  • Schedule only one performer per session to allow for recommended social distancing.
  • If more than 1 performer is scheduled: Each person attending the session will provide a copy of their Covid-19 Vaccination Card and negative Covid-19 test to the studio within 72 hours of the session.
  • Talent to wear a mask during the recording process when possible.
  • Hand-washing stations, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting towelettes are readily available.
  • HEPA air filter in studio
  • Upon arrival using a touchless infrared thermometer, talent and operator will take readings and confirm both parties have normal temperatures.
  • Allow performers to use their own headphones.
  • Common areas in facilities will be cleaned/sanitized regularly (e.g., light switches, surfaces, doorknobs, phones, water dispensers, coffee machines, cabinet handles, refrigerator handles, microwave buttons, ventilation grills, chairs and arm/back rests, etc.). Studios will be cleaned/sanitized before and after each session, including the microphone, POP filters, music stands and any other equipment the performer will come in contact with.
  • Limit the number of people at a recording session by having those who need to observe the session call in remotely. ex: Source Connect, Zoom, Skype, Phone Patch
  • Use disposable covers to protect mics and headphones. Sanitize or replace POP filters between sessions.
  • Limit sharing of equipment as much as possible. Shared equipment will be disinfected after each use.
  • Use disinfecting towelettes to wipe down equipment before and after use.
  • U-VC light wand for sanitizing surfaces
  • Offer to wipe down the equipment in the presence of the performer to reassure them of what has been cleaned before the work.
  • Engineers, second engineers and tape ops will use rubber gloves whenever possible when setting up the room, moving mics, booms, music stands, chairs, gobo’s, and resetting channels and outboard gear, and should dispose of them frequently.
